Body language is something we are not always aware of in everyday life. When we know what our different body language means it can be very helpful to us in navigating life and making better decisions for ourselves and others.
Arms Akimbo
This is something you see displayed quite often when a stranger approaches an unknown area, like someone’s home or a place abroad. People usually feel territorial and display arms akimbo. Women showcase this behaviour quite often as well when it comes to arguments. It’s important to always keep in mind that things are much closer to escalate further than normal. Personally whenever I notice this in a situation I try to distance myself.
There is a significant difference behind the two versions of arms akimbo. Look for if the thumbs are displayed in front or not on the hands. One version is more severe and requires you to be much more careful.
