The Painting From Hell

Attempting my best painting yet proved to be a nightmare. This is how I go about achieving more than I thought possible.

The drive towards Hollywood is strong. Attempting to paint a motif that triggers a dream-like state in you is rather hellish to succeed at. A smaller version of the painting has been completed by now and the actual piece is about halfway done. Yet the struggle is real because the painting is way past my current expertise and skill level.

This kind of painting is a nightmare for an artist to create

A painting that allows you to escape reality and your problems why it simultaneously fills your heart with newfound hope. First you have to spot the colourful sunset you only know exists in dreams. Second, you have to see the angel praying for you and your beautiful future we know is waiting. I have to match all the million different colours correctly or it won’t trigger the dream-like state within you as soon as you spot it. I want you to turn around and buy it right away. It has to be that good.

I’m using the small painting I finished to learn how to paint the final one. You’re always going to need a study for this kind of work I believe. There will always be tons of changes and improvements to the completed piece. You usually don’t know about them beforehand.
